Abstract
This collection contains materials related to Soviet ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev, 1938-1993. Nureyev gained considerable fame in the West after defecting from the Soviet Union in 1961. He developed friendships with many celebrities and artists, including Jamie Wyeth, who purchased the materials within this collection at auction and sold them to the Museum in 2006.
