The Howard Pyle series consists of research materials accumulated by Paul Preston Davis for the writing and publication of his book Howard Pyle: His Life – His Work (2004), a compilation of all known Howard Pyle artwork and illustrations published. It is an expansive re-evaluation, correction, and update of Willard S. Morse and Gertrude Brincklé’s record of Pyle’s work, Howard Pyle: A Record of His Illustrations and Writings (1921).
