Scope and Contents From the Collection: The three artists featured in this collection were all successful students of Howard Pyle at the Drexel Institute in the late 19th century. While Elizabeth Shippen Green went on to live in Rhode Island, Boston, and New York, the three women contributed to the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania art communities during their lifetimes.
